Design is just one half of our business! We also provide surveys, design and manufacture yacht fittings, and manufacture foils to class specifications.
Surveys
Most Insurance Companies (which have now deservedly passed the Banks and Used Car Salesmen in the disrepute stakes)insist on a Survey or Condition Report by a qualified person before insuring a vessel.
We have prepared such reports for many years on vessels ranging in size from off the beach dinghies to Round-the-World live-aboard auxiliary yachts. Clearly, our fees depend on the nature and extent of the examination and report; and, also if any travel is involved.
Foils
Centreboards and rudders can be made to class specifications if supplied. For obvious reasons, we prefer not to manufacture plywood foils. Our foils are manufactured from selected timbers which are epoxy glued together. They are chord shaped and profiled before GRP sheathing and polishing. Most foils are shaped to NACA sections but foils are also made to confirm to Class Measurement restrictions.
Yacht Fittings
Specialised Yacht fittings can be designed and/or manufactured to suit specific needs which a client may have.
